I asked a lot of questions to get what I needed out of this intensive, for sure. Had I asked not questions, I still would have gotten some good info (on the variations of some of the moves we do but different), but it wouldn't have been the same. I feel like I got what I wanted out of it because I had a clear idea of what I wanted, and she created a space where I felt free to *participate* and not just "be present", ya know?
I have to admit that most of my past workshops experiences with FC were kind of less stellar for me. SHE was fine (though not as much humor as this workshop), but the topics were very very basic and the pace of the workshop was dictated by a largely newbie/slower group. This intensive, by its nature, had to keep moving forward and demanded the group work faster and with more focus. I loved that!!
I kept meaning to write back to your last mail to me, dearheart, but right after you wrote we did reading deprivation in our Artist's Way in troupe, so I couldn't. And now I just keep flaking. I gotta make a costume today for class tonight, but will try to hit that mail this week! *hugs*
