Summary: Luke and Reid are happily married for years. But when Reid put his eyes on Noah.
Everything's changing.
Reid had been driving through the gay neighbourhood for a while. He was not sure what he was looking for. Or was he?
After having gone to the four bars Luke liked the most, Reid tried to call Luke again. He was still not answering any of his calls. So Reid left the area; thoughtful.
He drove for twenty minutes, and then parked his car next to the Fallen Angel bar. It used to be his Uncle Jo's favorite bar. Jo had left for New York years ago. It was also where he had had his first drunken night out. Strangely he had never brought Luke there.
Reid entered the bar. He needed that drink more than ever. He went straight to the barmaid, called Rita. Rita was a very big woman, blonde, with a goofy but sweet face. She had a smoky voice that was filling the room with laughter. She was wearing aggressively sexy clothes.
When Reid walked up to her, she showed him her best smile. There was no doubt that she was thinking Reid could be a good partner for the night.
'Hey sugar. What can I buy you? I'm Rita by the way.'
She gave him a wink as she introduced herself. Then caressed one of his hands which was on the counter.
'You can buy me nothing.'
He paused.
'But I'm quite sure you'll find a better meal to eat than me tonight. I'm as bitter as lemon Rita. Don't spoil any saliva drops on me.'
She made a face. How did he dare refuse her dirty proposal? That was so rude of him. Reid ignored her reaction and ordered a tequila sunrise and a glass of vodka and orange.
Rita’s ego was hurt but still, she did her job as a nice barmaid and handed him his order. Then without even glancing at her, nor thanking her, Reid chose his table for one. He picked one in the darkest corner of the room, lit only by two small candles.
Reid had been having a strange day. In less than twenty-four hours, he had gone through a mixture of all kinds of emotions. First he had been anxious, then furious...
Bloody nurses!
... Then out of the blue confusion had emerged to be quickly replaced by pride and satisfaction. But suddenly all of it had faded away and loneliness had blossomed in him, clouding the day.

Hidden in the darkness of the room, Reid looked at every face he could distinguish. There was no one to be interested in. Oh no. My mistake. There was - in front of him, alone in the other side of the room, a tall man was sitting. He was facing Reid but he was not looking at him. Actually that tall guy was not even looking at anyone or anything at all. His pale skin was shining in the light of a lamp above his head. He did not seem to mind the light. It bugged Reid a little ‘cause...
He should have minded it.
Some dark locks of hair were waving on his forehead. He seemed to nervously be playing with it, his long fingers interlacing through it in a never-ending slow rhythm.
Reid could not see his whole face, ‘cause unfortunately, one the man's hands was hiding it. But he could guess it was beautiful. That pale skin of him seemed soft. Reid surprised himself thinking of actually touching it. Brushing it lightly with his finger.
What are you doing Reid? Are you going nuts?
He bit his bottom lip. Pale skinned. Bells rang in his head. Pale skinned looked similar to the lean figure he had been staring at on the patio. The one he could not take his eyes off. Reid wondered why the young man was hiding such a sweet face. Was he even conscious that he was hiding it?
Unlike on the patio, where Pale Skinned looked devastated, he looked more nervous, maybe anxious, than sad. As if something had happened in the meantime. He was different.
Better.
Reid noticed the glasses were off. Even if half of the brunette's face was hidden, he could see he had taken them off. Reid wondered about Pale Skinned’s eye color. Brown? Maybe green? And maybe Reid could think of a way to find that out. He could buy the guy a drink. Talk to him. They would only be two lonely people wanting to break the loneliness.
Nothing more. Nothing less. Nothing wrong.
Reid was sweating cause it seemed to him that once again, he was unable to take his eyes off of him. It was happening again. That feeling Reid was usually not familiar with. Confusion. It was back. Was it him? Was it that ethereal faced tall stranger that was creating it?
Reid had a rational mind. He was in no way the type of guy to gaze out the window. Falling into reverie and romantic dreams with sugar and chocolate. Not usually. So why now?
Okay that's enough! Reid yelled at himself.
He drunk what was left of his tequila sunrise. He's been staring at another man, a man who wasn't his Luke for more than an hour. He was married for god's sake. It was about time to leave. Luke was probably home now. So Reid left. But in so doing Reid had to see Pale skinned's face. Otherwise he would go crazy.
He walked towards the stranger and without a word, he put his vodka and orange on the man's table. The stranger's eyes slowly opened. His head turn around to look at Reid. His look seems not to really be ON Reid. It was blind eyes.
But Reid did not care. The stranger's eyes were the deepest blue he had ever seen. He was fascinated. Subjugated. He was...
So beautiful.
Blue eyed had small but delicious lips and the face of an angel. Reid could feel his heart beating fast. Breathing was hard.
"Why are you buying me a drink?" The stranger said awakening Reid from another reverie.
"It's not me buying a drink but me giving you one!" Reid answered a bit on the defensive.
Blue eyes burst in laughter. Reid smiled. Relaxing.
'Oh ok. So thank you for 'the gift' stranger.'
He tasted it.
'Vodka and orange. My fav.'
'Good.'
'I'm Noah.'
Noah? His name's like my patient and he's blind. Could he be my case?
They shook hands. Electricity went through their bodies. Noah blushed. Reid saw it and panicked.
'And I'm..'
'Yes?' Noah chuckled.
'I'm leaving.'
'Now?' Reid could hear the disappointment in Noah's voice.
'Yes, sorry.'
'Oh. Ok...'
And so did he. Noah stayed in the bar. And ordered few other drinks. Wondering what had just what the hell had happened.

Reid took off his shoes and put his slippers on. He hung his leather coat up and then walked on tiptoe, being careful not to make a noise. Once he entered the bedroom all he could see was his lovely husband’s naked body. It was lit by the light of the stars and spread out on their bed. He suddenly felt guilty to have desired to touch another man's skin. He was going crazy.
Reid went to the kitchen to drink a glass of apple juice.
'Reid? You're home?'
'Yes Lu. I'm coming.'
He drank the last drops from his glass and went back to the bedroom. He took off his clothes, got on the bed and covered their naked bodies with the silky blue sheets. Then he cuddled himself on to his husband’s chest.
'Sorry I was MIA tonight,' Luke said, still sleepy.
'I wanted to celebrate with you' Reid answered.
'I've lost my phone and track of time. Don't be mad at me.'
'Ok. Lu...'
But Luke was already asleep. Reid sighed.
He hoped his case was not that blind Noah. He wished that the following day everything would be back to normal. That he would never cross Noah's way again. That he would never be tempted to drown in the ocean of Noah's eyes. To touch that pale skin.
He had Luke. He had Luke. He had him.
