URGENT - Will English's ACEN ad, NEED MANY OPINIONS

Hey guys,

This is the ad I designed for addrlegend aka Will English to go in the small program book for Acen. He likes it but is uncomfortable at the same time because he doesn't do much self promotion. Please give your honest opinion of what you think of the ad, along with some design crits. THIS IS URGENT, need responses by tomorrow morning at latest.

Is it suppose to be an ad for himself? Or is it mainly congratulating Acen?

In any event, less Will pictures. Have one really cool pic of him, advertise his crap and then off to the side he can say his congrats.

I agree with LJ, to many pictures. I'd take out one of the neko will pics put the one sticking out of the side on top in it's place and ditch the other one all together or the one with the chick. (From a design point...who is she, why is she there...what does she actually have to do with CCW or Acen?)

And then maybe stretch out the last bit to the full bottom. To put more focus on it.

Otherwise it seems really yearbookie, or like highschool drama production included ad. Then again, maybe your highschool drama productions didn't do that...o.o

I am honestly not in love with the script font. Especially at the bottom there, with the white stroke, it's hard to read. Layout-wise, I think it's fine. I don't think it's too many pictures; on the contrary, I rather like the way they're arranged.

There's no apostrophe in "it's" unless it's "it is" . . . I'm 99% certain on that, though I see it a lot in print.

If I was doing it, I'd use just the upper most right most pic - I think that's a great shot of Will . . . unless you think it'd come across wrong since he's going ":P" (sarcasm? I dunno) . . . cause the two in the suit look like he's running for political office XD (Cardcaptor Will for prez?)

From a design perspective - maybe take the first picture of Will - in the suit - and put that where the neko-microphone Will is, and get rid of the 3 diagonal pictures. Only use 3 pictures. That way you'll be able to enlarge the CardcaptorWill.com line. For that line, maybe use a san-serif font? It'll be much easier to read, but won't clash so badly with the rest as a serif font would.

Also, if removing the 3 pictures, you would need to adjust the spacing on the rest of the ad. It would allow more room to move things up and over, which would give more space at the bottom for Will's site.

And ayakasan is right, it should be "its" because its possessive. ^_^

I think it looks good now, but if Will isn't happy with it, those are the adjustments I would try. :)
