Very awesome. I love the concept; I love the execution.
He says, “I know what you are, Trickster.”
You say, “Probably not.”
I also love the ambiguity there--that current!Sam doesn't know what he is anymore--as well as the fact that current!Sam is too disconnected to even worry about it.
“Dean is still alive,” he says into the palms of his hands, as if he can close his fingers on the words and hold on to them.
“He is.”
“Then what,” and he lifts his head, “are we doing here?”
I love how that simple exchange, right there, shows the main difference between MS!Sam and current!Sam--the depth of feeling, the depth of need, that Sam used to have for Dean.
You've captured the hollowness of this new Sam beautifully. He's on autopilot, the program for his mind and body is running flawlessly, but there's no heart, no soul: it's just memory.
Just another cage again and so you fight monsters.
This piece is amazing and disturbing and beautiful. I like the descriptions of current Sam using his body. Expel air so it sounds like laughter. Lovely use of second person. And what a cool idea!

You have your heartbeat. You have your memories. You have the border of skin that defines you.
