AAAAH this is FREAKING ME OUT in such a good way! I want to eat up this crazy Sam with a spoon. and this COULD be really tragic because it's current Sam looking at the Sam we knew and loved and miss so much, and the difference, the loss of emotion, is so striking - and so canon-feeling! - but because the POV character doesn't HAVE these emotions about it, it doesn't read as tragic, just disconnected and freaky, reinforced by the second person. I LOVE it.
