Yay!

Laudree here have just brought in their two new flavours for the season: Green Apple and Cherry.

What flavours did you end up getting?

The first forays were rather mainstream. Cafe Vue had chocolate, vanilla, passionfruit (oh that one was good!), pistachio (ditto - just enough flavour, not overpowering), raspberry (not enough flavour, I ADORE raspberry!), and violet-with-chocolate-filling (tasted mostly of the filling). Laurent had strawberry (nice but a bit too strongly flavoured), orange (I wanted more flavour there!), lime (yum), passionfruit (Cafe Vue's was better), coffee (yes!), vanilla and chocolate.

There were a couple more flavours at Vue, and I don't know how large Laurent's range is... I think I'm going there tomorrow to find out though! I would love to try green apple. I suspect that the range here may be a bit more limited than in your part of the world but now that I REALISE what I've been missing out on I know that this is going to be an ongoing investigation.

I shall continue to report! *dramatic flourish*

I'm yet to try a passionfruit one. Was it creamy, or jammy? I'm more into the cream fillings than the jam ones.

If you ever see a salted caramel one, DO IT. Them, and pistachio ones, are currently my favourites.

I liked the Green Apple, but it divided my friends. It was a special flavour brought out with an Alice In Wonderland music box - rather awesome in my books.

The shop that I first went to for macarons don't do them any more. This makes me sad. Laudree were better though, so I'm not that sad - it's just that Yautcha had some interesting flavours like the matcha tea, that I can't see Laudree ever doing. They have rotating flavours, but usually have about 15 or so flavours to choose from.

Heheh - I find it really funny I've got you hooked on this too - I've done this to a number of people now!

The passionfruit was creamy and tangy, yum. You definitely have me hooked! I can't wait to see what other flavours are available here. Updates soon!

At Australia Square, (round building though) a shop had very large and very small macarons .. many colours, didn't get a chance to check the flavors.
