Oh, I love this! It's from one of my favorite scenes (ok, only favorite scene) from the first couple of episodes.

I probably shouldn't tell you this, but I sort of ship Will and Alice. ;)

I think you mentioned that in the rewatch somewhere (presumably 1x02 or 1x11). I could see that - strapping young village lad, pretty young widow...

Although for some reason when I actually start thinking about it, it descends into outright pr0n territory ("Hi... I'm a carpenter. Someone said you had some wood needed handling?") or the Graduate ("Mrs. Little, you're trying to seduce me. Aren't you?")

And of course as an LJ fangirl I couldn't possibly condone such behaviour... but then she does think he's dead.

I do not discount the possibility of pr0n. Ever.

And yeah, the part of my mind that lives in the gutter did sort of envision a Mrs. Robinson-type scenario...followed by Dan Scarlett administering a much-needed kick in the pants to his son. ;)

Someday, I will totally write that Will/Alice fic. Like when Will has his own fic comm. Heh.

Damnit - you've totally sold me on this one - I am now convinced Will had a total crush on Alice.

"You're Alice's John? She thought you were dead." And I hoped you were...

OMG! That explains why Luke Cooper only shows up once Will's out of the picture! XD

This is a scene I always wish we'd been shown! I love how Will starts backing off; I can picture John's expression there, and it's both heartbreaking and lovely (since I really do ship him and Alice).

Yeah - although I think it would have lessened the impact of when LJ actually sees LLJ for the first time. That little "oh" when LLJ tells LJ who he is is just lovely.

This was a great little missing scene. I loved John's heartbreak when he momentarily believes she's moved on even though he'd prayed for her to do just that.

I'm sorry for the delay in commenting. I meant to comment sooner, but I've been ill. That's not a good excuse, but it's the only one I've got. ;)
