John looks down at the Locksley boy in confusion. Alice is his wife - what else is there to know?
"She... She's not on her own," the boy blurts out.
He'd never imagined that getting something you'd long wished for could hurt so much. He'd prayed many times for her to move on and forget him. To hear that she's actually done so brings physical pain... and rage.
Alice is his. His!
His anger must show as the boy starts back in alarm. "No, not like that! She... You... have a son..."
A... son?
He'll have to go back to Locksley...
