Yeah, Allan would be the parent who knows their kid is smoking pot because they did it once themselves! He's also such a male chauvenist, as seen in many instances on the show--the comments to Marian about her legs, to Djaq about her attire ("you should wear dresses more often"), and his comment about Isabella being sheriff of Nottingham ("What next? A donkey for king?" or something to that effect. Darn. I'll just have to re-watch it to get the quote right. The things we do for art.)
