It seems that the people at the University of Phoenix are at least working on my financial aid. I got a letter from Iowa Student Loan today officially putting my loans in deferment until September 2007. I'm really excited about that. Finally, I'm going to be saving $250.00 a month for the next two years while I complete my master's program. ( Read more... )

So I put my app in for the Linn County job this morning. I went in and dropped off my application and resume and they asked me to take a short data entry test. It was three pages long and they told me that in order to pass I had to get through the first page with fewer than four errors. I had five minutes to do it. I got to work today and after I took my first call, I was informed that there was a training class that I was supposed to attend. It was a negotiation skills class. It's been a busy and HOT weekend. I swear, when they say it's a dry heat in Phoenix, they are so right. If you were in Cedar Rapids today, you would understand.
