Busy busy weekend

Jul 24, 2005 23:50

It's been a busy and HOT weekend. I swear, when they say it's a dry heat in Phoenix, they are so right. If you were in Cedar Rapids today, you would understand. Today's high was 96 degrees, but with the dewpoint at 81, the heat index was 108 degrees. Which is hot to begin with, but when you add in all that humidity, think of a swimming pool with water heated to Phoenix temperatures, then try to swim in it.

Yesterday was the Slander wedding. It was fabulous, and lots of Cornell people were there. I got to see Clare and Scott!! I haven't seen them since graduation. They both looked great. The reception was an awesome time too. Out in the middle of nowhere, but it was good times. Good times. I danced with Doug twice, as well as Emilie, and Leah. It was sweet. I wanted to dance with Kat, but they didn't play enough slow songs and then when they finally did, she was nowhere to be found. And they didn't have the Electric Slide either. That kind of saddened me.

Today consisted of going to church, then going to see Grease, then coming home and doing laundry and writing my paper.

Grease was awesome! I'd never seen the play or the movie in its entirety before. I really enjoyed it. The cast (including Tonya) did a great job. And one of the guys I work with was in it! He was the teen angel. I ran into him after the show and he said he was really surprised to see me, and I told him that I was there for Tonya and he was all "Oh, Tonya! We love her!!" There were some keyoooooot boys in the show. Just out of high school, like I like 'em. ;-)

Well, I got through probably the busiest week for school. Week 5 only has a team project, and considering how well my team worked together on Week 4's team project, I am not worried at all that it will go on without a hitch. And as is true in my fashion, I will be taking tomorrow off. Which is good, because I have some errands to run tomorrow.

I tried to renew my tags online because they're due in about a week. But for some reason it wouldn't let me renew online. It said that my registration status changed. I'm not sure what that means. No matter though. I'll go down to the treasurer's office tomorrow morning and write them a check. And I'll probably run my August rent to the landlord to get that out of the way.

I wonder how the atmosphere at work is going to be tomorrow. I'll find out when I get there, I guess.

Robyn, we should do something tomorrow night if you're not busy. I've got the night free, so we should have ice cream or watch Seinfeld or something.

All right, I think that's enough from me for now. Until next time, ever onward!!
