Today I had a tooth pulled out of my jaw. The very back tooth on the left-bottom, no longer a part of me. Which means a mouthful of the grossest bloody gauze and a diet of pain pills, soup and ice cream again. Fuck, man.

I have to say that I was pretty disappointed by the 2nd FUTURAMA movie. Maybe I was expecting too much, but if so, it was because the show was consistently so funny. The 1st movie had its flaws, but I ascribed that to their finding their footing with the longer format. Anyway, it wasn't awful, just a bit of a let-down.

It's no Bender's Big Score, and that was no "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" or "Jurassic Bark," I admit, but there's some interesting tricky stuff going on in the plot of The Beast With A Billion Backs. A strange theme, magnifying interpersonal relationship dramas into interspecies conflicts and inter-universal wars is a strange and very Futurama way of telling a story.

Deserves a second watch sometime when I'm not balancing toothpain and vicodin.
