Number one, the toaster was accepted to the show in Vancouver WA. Some of you have seen photos of the toaster. If you haven't, drop me a line and I'll e-mail you a picture. :D :D I'm actually kind of sad that I'm so tired and drugged (girltime yey) that I can't be more ecstatic about it than I am. XD

Of course I'm going to recommend the Rebel series, since it's my baby and all. I have an XSi, although you can find the XTi series (they're the precursor to the XS series) for ch33p. If you consider around $400 to be ch33p. (I paid $775 for my kit, for comparison.)

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3, which my mother found at Costco as a bundle pak. You've seen the photos it takes.

While I agree the rebel series is awesome! I can't say I see you needing a dSLR. Unless you really want the interchangeable lens feature, or something else that I just haven't thought of yet

I should be in town in about two weeks. I'm not too concerned about weight (yeah, it's a factor, but not a primary one) because for archiving artwork/entering shows you use a tripod. Yeah, I'd use it for other things too (like the french architecture study-abroad class if I get accepted), but as long as I can't use it to work out with it's light enough. XD

Should be. I'll let you know after this week- next week is finals week, but that's just cleaning. This is the week that everything's due. ^^;;
