For the record, let me state my prejudice here.
I find Ragtime to be one of the most heart-moving, genuine, American, enjoyable musicals out there. It competes with Les Miserables for my favorite of all time due to the strong character studies and compelling storyline and straight up truth about who we are as humans.

Marathon Amnesia
I forget about recovery time. Every time. Yeah, a few days after the marathon I'm sore and then I can start doing small mileage. I forget that it takes a while to do longer mileage. Yeah, the books say to come back slowly, but I'm a superhero, right? It doesn't take me a month!
