Someone was eating Campbell's soup in the lounge at work the other day, and it made me recall one of my mom's specialties when I was a kid: surprise soup ( Read more... )

I always mix soups. My fav is to mix the wild mushroom with any of the chicken based soups, or mix tomato with anything.

!!!!!! We did that at Brownie camp when I was little. Best way to feed soup to a large group - each girl had to bring a can of soup, and the leaders would mix them all together and feed them to us after we set up on the first night of winter camp. We called it "friendship soup". :D

My parents used to make a soup (and I made it a couple times with their recipe) that was a can of Campbell's tomato soup, a can of bean with bacon soup, sliced hot dogs and diced onion (and maybe a couple more ingredients).

My dad makes a lot of really bad soups, so that was one of my favorites. My wife doesn't eat hot dogs, though, so I haven't had that in years.

My best friend makes what we simply call "soup" it's a mixture of vegetarian vegetable soup, chicken noodle soup, tomato soup all mixed together with a ton of butter and extra boiled egg noddles. She grew up in a single parent household and her mom used to make it for us when we were younger. Cheap, easy, and truly tasty. Also this has to be made with milk not water.
