Ahh, the memories! NE was one of my favorite shows. I loved the off-beatness of it... I've always been drawn to the off-beat ones. My favorite characters were Holling, Ruth Ann, Marilyn and Chris. Joel was okay too. I watch Numb3rs not for Rob Morrow, but for David Krumholtz... makes my grandmotherly heart go pit-a-pat. I guess I should buy the DVDs because it looks like nobody is going to rerun it to death like they do the CSIs, Law and Orders, etc.

Off-beat shows seem to constitute 90% of my viewing. I can't seem to get enough of them. And NX was kind of the king of the off-beat shows that I watched. Oh, God, I love Marilyn and Chris! Holling never quite grabbed me, but Ruth-Anne was always so charming and tough and kind; I adore her. I love Joel, too, with his neuroticism and never-ending self-justifications. He's just so cute in his denial.
