And a few more eps into S3, I really started seeing the Maggie/Shelly, too. Especially with how excited Maggie gets every time Shelly comes to stay with her, and how she constantly muses that her life would be better off without men in it. I keep wanting to tell her to just go for it, already. *g*
Yeah, Maurice, for having such strong opinions about the wrongness of the 'lifestyle' (haha, overcompensating much?) sure does give off a whole load o' gay vibes. And he and Holling, I swear, every time they talk about Shelly it's like neither of them really cares about her; Maurice especially gives off the "the man I loved betrayed me and I will never forgive him" vibe.
Ohmigosh, Marilyn/Joel is one of those pairings where, once I started seeing it, I see *so much* of it. Like when Joel was freaking out because Marilyn was giving him the silent treatment when he didn't want to become a member of the tribe, and he compared it to how Eileen used to give him the silent treatment, I had a huge squeeout moment.
I want Joel/Jules porny fic so bad it isn't even funny. And Rob Morrow just rocked the performances--playing Joel trying to pass as Jules and still having just the right amount of Joel peeking through was so impressive.
Hee, Adam! Yeah, Adam is so obsessed with Joel, but he'll never admit it and hates that Joel makes his obsession with Adam so obvious.
...wow, how did this turn into an essay? GOD I CAN RAVE ABOUT THIS SHOW FOREVER!
