There was an announcement, simple and matter of fact.
||Now approaching Habitated Space.||
In the sculpture in the center of Obs Deck, the mouth of the statue dropped open, revealing the giant screen, and presumably speakers.
*Kssh* "--docking station 912, docking station 912, we're moving in." "Your trajectory's off by five degrees. Adjust--"

Sonia stops cold, staring up at the screen suspiciously. She's totally ready to start beating things when they pop out of wherever.
Only... the music doesn't really sound sinister. Weird, yes, but...
Gah. Stupid demons.

Or at least mildly unsettling. So why is the timid redheaded woman sitting on the couch looking so relaxed as she listens to the radio?
Really, she looks more wary of Sonia than anything else.

She wonders if she could see any of these places from where they are, if she left her body again.

"Sounds...sounds all right," she says, watching the flickering screen. It does; nothing specifically threatening, no bugs or metal pouring down the walls. Alien, but that's a matter of course around here.
Never the less, Martine starts sorting out and packing up her sewing, efficient and calm for Alessa's sake. Best to be ready for whatever happens. Her jaw might be set and her hands might be a little shaky, but all in all she's much better off than last time.
Now if she only knew where Seymour was, she'd be set. She keeps on eye on the door and wishes she could move Alessa without making it obvious she's - not scared, but unsettled.

"You're right. It's just new, not bad, I'm sure."

Kara zooms into Obs Deck with a grin, pulling up sharply by the monitor to watch it flicker.
Habitated space = other people/aliens/spaceships = potential escape. Kara didn't need to finish high school to pick up that math. She hopes where ever they're going is less like Kandor and more like...some alien place that doesn't suck. She's sure there are a few.

Katara was though and (despite the similarity in their names that the mun just noticed typing this) she is far more worried than Kara. The last planet seemed perfectly harmless, beautiful even, and still became incredibly dangerous. This one is loaded with people by the sounds of it, and that doesn't make it at all less scary.
Standing next to the monitor herself, arms crossed, Katara jumps when someone zooms to join her, staring at the girl for a second.
"...Hi?"

"Oh, hey," Kara says, flicking her hair over her shoulders as she floats stationary in the air "New planet, huh? This happen a lot around here?"

"Uh... well, sort of, I guess," says Katara, trying not to stare and utterly failing. "It's only happened once before, actually, and she never spoke in all the funny voices like this before."

"How about it, Stace? People gonna nearly get killed on this run, too?"

That didn't mean nobody would get killed and turned to batteries though.

Glancing back as Zuko helpfully notes nothing nobody already didn't know, Angelo sighs and plops back onto the couch. "What's the deal if we ain't fightin' your wars? Why the pit-stop?"

But how many people get to say they saw Princess Azula jump fifty feet in the air in terror as the screen started making noise?
Whoever was in the Obs Deck at the same time, gets to. :P

That's why there's the distinct sound of "Ahahahahaha!" coming from his direction.
