The Sensoriums are decorated like the most well-tended and enthusiastically holiday-oriented suburb Southern California could have created. Jack-O-Lanterns grin out from driveways and porches; smoke machines belch out onto the sidewalk; orange-tinted Christmas lights twinkle from the rooftops. A loop of Halloween-themed music, from the Monster

"Nope. I'm hydrogen!" Atom answered, pointing at the blue sphere. "See, that's my electron."

Daniel walked down the street towards her, hands going for a pocket only to remember that the Sensorium decided that he was best fit in a version of Abydonian robes. Right, no pockets. His eyes already felt better once he got off the planet. Faintly itchy, instead of steel wool cotton balls to the face, but Daniel was reasonably confident he wasn't going to suddenly sneeze on her. Getting from an actual planet to to what was apparently a virtual Earth suburb made a world of difference.
Unless there was virtual pollen. God, he hoped not. If so, why would someone do that?

They aren't friends, per se; if they ever were they no longer are, and as such she probably shouldn't greet him with smiles and affection. They aren't enemies, which would be easy to define if difficult to live with. And they know each other too well to be acquaintances.
Somewhere along the line, their lives got twisted together, like a braid that's fallen into disorganized knots, too mutilated to untangle and too ugly to present to the world.
She decides on the same shield of humor she's come to rely on. "Daniel. Are you that tempted by the thought of chocolate that you'd put up with another run-in with me?"

He motioned to the rest of the sensorium, the neighborhood and decorations, then returning back to Eva, took in the outfit with a little distaste. He was right. Prison jumpsuit. Because having to put yourself in the brig for your own actions was hilarious.
Daniel's voice was neutral. "Interesting choice in costume."

"I thought orange fit the holiday's color scheme rather well." She can tell he doesn't approve, but why should he? Her very outfit is a play off of an event they'd both rather hadn't happened. He probably thinks she's trivializing it or congratulating herself again, and he might not be far off. "I'm only a prisoner for pretend tonight."
She hopes Daniel doesn't take that the wrong way and assume she's referring to the brig. She's well aware she's a prisoner more of her own memories than by any physical cell. That's why she wore the outfit; it's nice to pretend the frightening thing you've become is as make-believe as Frankenstein or Raggedy Ann.
And it's funny, she'd insist.

So does the floor.
Six people find themselves falling for what feels like a very long time, before landing on a bed of leaves. The air is crisp and smells vaguely of mulch. A circle of tall trees surround the six crew members; on each tree's trunk is a carved door, with a symbol of the major American Earth holidays on it. A Christmas tree, a valentine, an Easter Egg…
The door with the jack-o-lantern is open.
[OOC: Please make sure everyone gets a chance to tag in each round! Characters involved are Harry Potter, Han Solo, Ankh, Fuu, Doctor McNinja and Grif.]

Fuu's mind raced as the ground vanished. These were the Sensoriums, weren't they? They were supposed to be safe! But of course, it would be unwise to trust that. And she'd had enough time to think that thought, which meant that she was probably high enough to die when she hit the ground...
Her first impulse was to try and use Guardian Wind, but if she was at terminal velocity, the sudden stop would still kill her. Reduce speed, then--"Binding Wind!"
The green swirls of air wrapped around her, slowing her quickly but not quickly enough to hurt her. She saw others, too--Fuu tried to extend the spell, but they were too far... and then she was in sight of the ground. Fuu released the spell as soon as she touched down and tugged the cape of her Cephiran costume away from her legs and hurried over to the rather... er... dead-looking boy. "Are you all right?"

And what marvelous timing! The few minutes he is in there, pondering if he should just leave, the floor gives way and he finds himself falling, and in a new costume of a man he once met on this ship before. Obviously even the sensoriums couldn't make way which one of the two he was. Standing up and realizing his trusty gun had been replaced by some sort of old piece of technology, he mostly ignored the other two looking around at the trees.
He had a bad feeling about this.

But with so many people well beyond the age of trick or treating there was a gap, a need to fill for entertainment purposes.
And it was there that Beastboy scouted out a playground located in this spooky suburbia and claimed it as his own, setting up speakers (which were just reflecting the music Eva already had playing) Some screens showing scenes from Halloween classics and old black and white horror movies, and plenty of decorations and distractions, including bobbing for various fruitlike treats he had brought back from other planets in a cauldron, Pumpkin bowling and of coarse, plenty of dancing.
And in the middle of it all dressed as...well something...it had tentacles and lots of teeth was Beastboy laughing and having a grand time of it all.

Trees with bark so dark it was almost black stood twisted and creeping into the air with their leaves scattered about them making whispering rustling noises like something you can't see is lurking just in the shadows speaking about you.
And as a chill drifts along your spine a faint ringing can be heard from a wind chime hanging off a sign. "Your fortunes told here. Price: 1 piece of candy"

Inside the tent it was decorated in cushions and blankets, a table sat low to the ground in the middle, and a woman in a cloak was sitting across from her, her eyes hidden and only a pale smile revealed.
"Welcome, please make yourself comfortable." some candles offered a dim light and dancing shadows along the walls of the tent.
