Ah well. It had been fun while it had lasted, hadn't it? Well, ignoring the "having to discipline her daughter" part, anyway.

Besides, she'd gotten some cute new clothes and stocked up on food to cook for the crew. So she'd call this one a win.

"It would probably be a bad idea."

Yeah, the "disciplining her daughter" thing definitely wasn't fun. But the rest of this vacation was a blast, so it more than made up for that little rough patch.

There was one thing Fate would miss though: Nanoha might notice Fate's slightly upset expression as Cardiche her car was loaded back into storage. She's really gunna miss driving that car.

"Fate-chan, you look like you're never going to get a chance to drive that again," Nanoha teased, slipping her arm through the other girl's.

Fate pouted a little. Nanoha knew how much she liked her car, so she shouldn't tease her like that!

"Can you blame me? We probably won't get another break like this for a long time."

[starlight_ace]

Fate, Nanoha loves teasing you. You should know that by now. "I'm sure Stacy wouldn't mind if you went down to vehicle storage and drove it around every now and then, you know."

Sigh. Why do people have to take joy in teasing poor Fate so much?

"It's not the same!" She said. "Imagine flying around in a building, and being restricted to only flying there."

Because she's your loving girlfriend and you have the cutest reactions, Fate. That's why.

Nanoha patted Fate's arm. "I know," she agreed. "But the car'll still be there for you if you want to wash it or give it a tune-up - and for the next shore leave we're on."

If she's so loving, why does she have to tease her girlfriend so much? It's totally cruel.

"I guess you're right..."

Because it's cute? Duh!

"Of course I'm right," Nanoha smiled up at her. "You'll be driving it again before you know it!"

Oh, Nanoha had fun. Vivio? She hung back, her head drooped slightly. Her vacation ended when Sherry convinced her to go exploring. After being caught and scolded, Vivio pretty much became a bit of a recluse. While she still went places with Nanoha and Fate, she refused to go elsewhere or do anything with anyone else.

Whatever punishment Nanoha gave her? She added it on by punishing herself.

"Vivio, don't look so sad." Nanoha frowned. "You're stronger than that."

"I... I know, Nanoha-mama..." Vivio said, barely looking up at her. Stronger, maybe, but right now, she was too busy beating herself up. Too many "what ifs" had ran through her head and each one made her feel worse.

She shook her head. "Look at me when you're talking, okay? And straighten up - don't walk around all slumped over."

"Sorry..." Vivio said, straightening herself out. She was trying to make herself happy, really she was!

"That's better," Nanoha nodded. "Keep your chin up, Vivio. You're a big girl, right?"
