Thrill Ride [Open]

Today was different. Today wasn't about exploring the ship, keeping in shape, or trying to learn more about the Ohm. No, today was about indulging in one of her favorite pastimes - racing through the canyons outside Crevasse City on her classic JR-4 swoop. The fate of Alderaan and the upcoming battle against the Ohm had been weighing heavily on ( Read more... )

Having found one of the many sensoriums open the ever curious dragoness had decided to enter, stepping out onto into the world beyond. Pausing a moment to take in the canyons that surrounded the area, the whine of what Celena assumed was some form of engine closing in the distance, no doubt the occupant of the Sensorium. Time to go investigate then, spreading her wings wide she lept into the air ( ... )

A gust of wind and a shadow briefly crossing her face caught Reyna's attention. She turned towards the source of the disturbance, brushing her hair away from her face again and tucking it behind her ears, her smile widening as she heard a familiar voice and recognized Celena's magnificent form.

"Celena!" Reyna called out happily as she gracefully dismounted. Leaving her helmet resting on the seat of the speeder Reyna hurried over to greet her friend. She reached out to place a welcoming hand on Celena's smooth flank, her bright gray eyes sparkling with mirth.

"It's wonderful to see you again! It seems like forever since we woke up next to each other covered in sticky goo." Her eye's traveled curiously over Celena's noticeably larger form. "You seem even more impressive than before. Is the ability to adjust your size one of your many talents?"

"It does indeed my friend," She replied with a soft chuckle before shaking her head with a mirthful grin at her curiosity,"Unfortunately not, that is one ability I've not yet been able to achieve. This is my natural size, or at least a seeming of it aided by the sensorium," She replied in way of explanation.

Her golden eyes taking in Reyna's current attire and the form beneath, a fine form for a human she had no doubt. Her curious gaze drawn then to the vehicle Reyna had just dismounted, "I've not seen its kind before, a vehicle from your worlds? Along with this world itself would I be wrong in assuming?" she asked with a soft grin as she took in the sights around them for a moment.

A soft chuckle given as she realized that once more her curiosity had gotten the better of her for a moment as she turned her attention back to her friend, "In any event, how have you been since that particular time?"

"It is indeed," Reyna acknowledged, glancing over at the smoothly idling JR-4. "It's what is commonly referred to as a 'swoop,' which in turn is actually a trimmed down and powered up version of a 'speeder.' The major difference being that a speeder is sort of generic transport vehicle whereas a swoop is intended for higher speeds and more complicated maneuvering ( ... )

The sensoriums were something that Ba'al had come to find truly fascinating, and useful. Largely in the sense of learning more about others, through observation, than from direct use, of course; he'd rather deal with reality than the virtual, after all, and even situations in which he would have liked to bask in were hardly appropriate for the guise of an average, middle-aged businessman. It was somewhat disappointing.

Still, they were interesting to watch, and this one caught his attention in particular. A track of some kind, it seemed, something he had heard of in his own galaxy but never taken a great deal of interest in. The pilot of this machine, however, did interest him. The first woman he had met upon his arrival, though it had taken a moment to recognise her. She was interesting, it seemed.

"Reyna Kam," he called, as charmingly as he could manage, flashing one of his smiles as he stepped into the field, looking to the woman in question with a nod. "It is good to see you are well," he commented, as he felt was appropriate.

"Ba'al!" Reyna called out in return, giving him a smile and a friendly wave before beckoning him over. "Thank you. It's good to see you are doing well also. This ship has proven to be a bit difficult to adjust to, but it does have its advantages." She gestured around them with the arm not holding her helmet.

"I'm curious; do you have anything like this where you come from?" she asked, patting the swoop that still idled smoothly between her thighs. There seemed to be at least some commonality of technology between their two societies if their previous conversation was anything to go by, and Reyna was interested to know just how far that commonality extended.

"I suppose that is true," he agreed with a half hearted laugh. Difficult to adjust to... that seemed, perhaps, an appropriate enough way to describe it. It was a nuisance, at its best, and down right infuriating at its worst. "At least it seems that our comfort has been kept in mind. Or, at least, our sanities." It was a partial joke, though the tone might not quite betray that.

"I don't believe there was anything quite like it," he replied, carefully. He knew little of whatever his world might have, as its equivalent, as he found such things dull and pointless. He had better things to do than concern himself with human pass-times. "I cannot say it is something that falls under my particular area of expertise."

"Well, that being the case, I believe a demonstration is in order." Reyna gave Ba'al a mischievous grin and patted the small seat behind her. "Summon up some appropriate gear and climb on. I'll take you on a nice, leisurely ride through the canyons so you can get a feel for it." Her grin widened. "I'm sure you'll find it quite exhilarating!" Reyna's gray eyes danced with amusement as she spoke, knowing as she did that what she had planned was in truth probably more death defying than leisurely.
