Some cheer was definitely needed on this ship. Whatever chance meeting had brought Kaylee and Claudia together in mechanical mischief had also set their minds to turning over what they could possibly do to get some smiles back on the faces of those onboard

Finally getting Kang through the door, Kaylee carefully reached up and placed a top hat on his head. "That's all you gotta do for a costume," she promised.

She got him into the room and plopped a hat of some sort on his head. He reached up to take it off and get a better look at it, "...this is all I have to wear?"

At least he seemed sort of accepting, and he looked awful good if not awkward in the top hat. "Don't even gotta wear that, if you don't want."

Sighing, he put the hat back on his head, having to mess with it a bit to settle on top of his head so that it wouldn't fall off; luckily, his being larger than a human meant that it fit nicely right between his horns. "Fine, Kaylee. I'll wear it."

He'd been lucky back then to have Ronin for a friend, a guy who pointed out to Blin that the company forced them to basically wear costumes whenever they were out on missions, so there was some irony to seeing every at a costume ball dressed up in other ridiculous outfits, and why don't you wear this, B, it'll be hilarious... Well, it'd worked. People had laughed and had fun, and due to the costume's design he didn't feel too out of place. Whoever this Bruce Campbell guy was, he had some pretty sweet outfits.
So, with the magic of the sensoriums, that was how Blin came dressed up this time; some guy named Autolycus from some TV show he'd never seen ( ... )

Man, knowing the names for colors is something sighted people take advantage of.

She eyed him for a moment, wondering if he was serious, but after a moment she shrugged it off. "I'm Claudia and I'm suppose to be the first ever Batgirl! You know from when Adam West was Batman? KA-POW and everything?"

He’d done some researching beforehand, some scouting around the ship for a ‘costume’ of sorts, and now Aeneas was walking into the Sensoriums with a casual trot and a warm smile across his brow. Also across his brow was a large plumed helmet, which tastefully replaced his usual metal visor and still made room for his ears-as if he needed a costume, though he was only trying to stay ‘festive’, as the humans might say ( ... )

Of course, Aeneas probably hadn't recognised Marco under the gorilla suit he was wearing. An actual gorilla suit, not the gorilla morph which he had, on occasion, pretended was a gorilla suit. Sure, no one else would get the joke. Well, not unless Ax and Tobias where hanging around here somewhere. But hey, Marco got the joke, and he thought it was hilarious.
"Nice hat," Marco said, amused. "And you've forgotten me already? Man, I'm gutted. I'm gobsmacked. I'm so dismayed that I think I'll have to go drown myself in the punch."

"Hi guys!" she greeted, smiling. "I like the outfits...well, I don't get yours," she admitted honestly to Marco, "But its still nice! How are you both doing?"

“Apologies,” he purred, raising his brow, “Though I am afraid I still-“
Oh look, it’s Katara! He’s saved!
“Katara!” Aeneas clung to her social hook like a starved man to a triple-bacon cheeseburger, “Always a pleasure to see you! I am happy to be here, how about yourself?”

He'd taken a while to choose which period to dress as, but he'd finally chosen to go with late Tudor fashion. Say what you will about Henry VIII, Rei thought, but you can't deny the man knew how to dress. He'd even ditched his beloved zoot suit hat in favor of a more Renaissance style hat... though, it was bright purple and adored with lime green feathers. (He was surprised he could find such a hat, really, but he wasn't going to look a gift-horse in the mouth.) He ( ... )

He wasn't in costume, though. He got enough of those back home - both on him, and the people he fought. He felt weird not getting at least a little dressed up, though, so he'd at least put on what was, to him, a vintage suit.
He showed up a little early, and took up a place over in the corner, arms crossed. It was the first time in a long while he'd been to any kind of party alone - though, at least here, people wouldn't give him funny looks like most people did back home, because he was the kid who'd been in a gang.

"Yeah, I've kind of just... needed time to myself. I guess." He shrugged. He'd been feeling guilty about telling Tim about the future, and he'd actually been missing home. It was hard, knowing people on the ship, but not the same versions he was familiar with.

"Well, it's nice to see you out and about now. You know, if you do ever need anyone to talk to, I'm there for ya, man. I mean, you're like the only person I can share the experience of of telling people their futures with. I think, at this point, half the Justice League wants to kill me, not to mention Robin... You know, you tell the guy he goes off the deep end a bit, you'd think you were telling him he becomes Todd..."
