A bit of help?

I know several of you like to read and/or write fantasy, so maybe you can give me some advice. Here's my dilemma:

In my NaNoWriMo novel (21,500 words!), some of the characters are magical and some are not. I'm struggling to pick a slang term that the magical ones might use for the non-magical ones in a disdainful or exclusive sense, à la "muggle."

Bah. All the words I can think of that could work for that have uncomfortable racial or empire/other type associations. Sorry. I'm totally impressed by your word count, though!
