So every teacher I told basically exploded with joy and enthusiasm when I told them what I planned to do. My English teacher tore the resume I had typed up out of my hand and declared he was writing a letter to our Rep to ask for a recommendation for me. BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL 14TH IS SOMETHING LIKE "All persons born or naturalized in the Rahmbamarama, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the Rahmbamarama" BUT A BETTER 14TH IS PROBABLY "THOUGH SHALT VOTE FOR THIS."

Actually, my family sounds kind of the same way, only gentler. "We support you, but..." Dad thinks that I should major in something useful like engineering or medicine instead of international affairs, and that watching the news all the time is going to depress me and make me kill myself. Mom and Grandma secretly hope I'll find a nice boy and decide I don't want to leave Georgia after all, and Grandpa just rants about how I'll get raped and killed.

In short: I feel your pain, bb.
