The Road HD480p 50MB HD720p 119MB HD1080p 171MBFinally a trailer for this post-apocalyptic tale of a journey taken by a father (Viggo Mortensen) and his young son (Kodi Smit-McPhee) across a barren landscape that was blasted by an unnamed cataclysm that destroyed civilization and most life on earth. Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Molly Parker and Garret Dillahunt are also part of the cast. Directed by John Hillcoat (The Proposition), based on a novel by Cormac McCarthy (No Country for Old Men), score by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.
Looks just as post-apocalyptic as it sounds.
Nine HD480p 49MB HD720p 117MB HD1080p 194MBBig screen adaptation of the Broadway musical directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha). It follows the life of world famous film director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis) as he reaches a creative and personal crisis of epic proportion, while balancing the numerous women in his life including his wife (Marion Cotillard), his mistress (Penelope Cruz), his film star muse (Nicole Kidman), his confidant and costume designer (Judi Dench), an American fashion journalist (Kate Hudson), the whore from his youth (Fergie) and his mother (Sophia Loren).
Seems like trailers for movies made for awards-season come out early this year. Daniel Day-Lewis is a chameleon.
Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire 13 MBIntense but inspiring drama set in Harlem in 1987, that tells the story of an overweight, illiterate, African-American teen born into a life no one would want. She's pregnant for the second time by her absent father; at home, she must wait hand and foot on her mother (Mo'Nique), a poisonously angry woman who abuses her emotionally and physically. School is a place of chaos, but a teacher (Paula Patton) tries to give her life a new direction. Mariah Carey has a noteworthy role as a social worker, you can also try spotting Lenny Kravitz in the trailer.
To illustrate the inspiring point, it's presented by Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry. Movie won the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award this year in Sundance.
Case 39 24 MBHorror thriller about a family services social worker (Renée Zellweger) who thinks she has seen it all until she meets her newest, most mysterious case, troubled 10-year old Lilith Sullivan. Her worst fears are confirmed when the parents try to kill Lilith. She saves her and decides to take her in herself until the right foster family comes along. Then the real horror begins. Also part of the cast are Ian McShane, Bradley Cooper, Callum Keith Rennie and Adrian Lester. Directed by Christian Alvart (Pandorum, Antibodies).
The Other Man 16 MBDramatic thriller about a husband (Liam Neeson) who suspects his wife (Laura Linney) of adultery, and sets out to track down the other man (Antonio Banderas) in her life. Romola Garai plays the couple's daughter. Directed by Richard Eyre (Notes on a Scandal, Iris, Stage Beauty). Based on a short story by Bernhard Schlink (The Reader).
Imdb says the movie already had a limited release in the US in December but somehow I doubt that. And if a movie with such a cast and director has difficulties getting a US distributor (trailer is from France) then maybe it's better not to expect too much.
