The Princess and the Frog     HD480p 37MB   HD720p 111MB
Another teaser for this animated movie that will mark Disney's return to 2D animation. It will be a fairy tale musical centred on a young girl named Princess Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) who lives in New Orleans' French Quarter during the Jazz Age. Written and directed by the people who were responsible for The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and The Great Mouse Detective. Further voices will be provided by Terrence Howard, John Goodman, Keith David and Oprah Winfrey.

Map of the Sounds of Tokyo     10 MB
English subtitled trailer for the latest movie from Isabel Coixet (Elegy, The Secret Life of Words, My Life Without Me) that's part of the official competition in Cannes. It's a quiet thriller that centres on Ryu, a fish-market employee (Rinko Kikuchi) who doubles as a contract killer. Mr Nagara is a powerful impresario mourning the loss of his daughter Midori, who has committed suicide. He blames David (Sergi López), a Spaniard who runs a wine business in Tokyo. One of his employees, who was silently in love with Midori, hires Ryu to murder David. And then there's also a sound engineer, obsessed with the sounds of the Japanese city and fascinated with Ryu.
Judging from the trailer this won't be your average genre movie but a much more sensual affair. Trailer contains some nudity.

Gamer     68 MB
Violent action movie set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments, a star player (Gerard Butler) from a game called "Slayers" looks to regain his independence while taking down the game's mastermind (Michael C. Hall). John Leguizamo, Amber Valletta, Kyra Sedgwick and Ludacris are also part of the cast. Written and directed by the duo that was responsible for the two Crank movies.
Decent cast notwithstanding, not sure why I'd want to watch an ego shooter game at a movie theatre.

Ponyo on the Cliff - Gake no ue no Ponyo     15 MB
Enchanting music-only trailer from France for the new movie from Hayao Miyazaki (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle). It is an animated adventure centred on a 5-year-old boy and his relationship with a goldfish princess who longs to become human. The English-language version will feature the voices of Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin, Betty White and Cloris Leachman.
In my humble opinion, much more engaging than the Disney trailer above.

Act of God     18 MB
Interesting looking documentary that takes a look at the metaphysical effects of being struck by lightning. It's about accidents, chance, fate, and the elusive quest for understanding. Among the people interviewed are writer Paul Auster and improvisational guitarist Fred Frith. If you're interested you can find an article and some interview clips with the director here.

Taking Woodstock     HD480p 34MB   HD720p 106MB
Hi-def quicktime version of the recently posted trailer for the latest movie from Ang Lee, a nostalgic comedy about the generation-defining concert in the summer of 1969 starring Demetri Martin, Liev Schreiber, Emile Hirsch, Imelda Staunton, Eugene Levy and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
