Me: *grabs blanket, settles into couch, opens Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater*

Apartment: *windows rattle*

Me: Hmmm? That's a strong wind gust.

Apartment: *pictures vibrate on walls*

Me: That's not wind . . . is that a tornado?

Apartment: *couch shakes, fan sways, building groans and creaks*

Me: OH! MY! GOD! It's an earthquake.

I'm so glad wasn't the only one who first thought it was a tornado! I thought it was God getting mad at me for not working on my novel yet!

I have The Scorpio Races in my to-read stack. Since it's such an earth-shattering read, I wonder what will happen when I open it up...

I thought about you as soon as I heard you guys had an earthquake. Glad to know you're okay. How freaky.

In other news, awesome reading choice! I finished The Scorpio Races a week and a half ago and I'm still in awe over how gorgeous and amazing it was. Easily my new favorite book.

I am about half way through it. I just love MS's writing. So beautiful. I'm envious.

That old song goes through my head when I feel an earthquake:

I feel the earth move under my feet
I feel the sky tumbling down...

We felt them both here in Tulsa. I was half asleep for the 2 AM one, but I was wide awake for last night's. So freaky. Like this state doesn't already have enough ways to kill us with natural disasters.

I KNOW, right? My parents keep begging me to leave OK. They get freaked out by all of our natural disasters. I do, too. Oh and lucky me..tomorrow (Monday) they are anticipating hail, high winds, and possible tornadoes near me...right around the time I'll be coming home from work. Joy!
