Post again and let us know how making that broth goes. I've thought about trying to make some in the past but the cooking show I was watching had the cook use a stock pot that is at least four times the size of any pot I own... So I delayed the project while trying to decide if it is worth investing in a new piece of kitchen equipment.
Heya ;0) I'll totally let you know once I get it going. A stockpot -is- a good investment - I really don't think they're that expensive? We generally just make use of a big metal pot we have with a pasta strainer inside of it - - remove pasta strainer and wheee: stockpot. Very worth while, especially through the winter months. There are cheapish ones @ target and walmart, I think. I'll prolly be dropping the bones of a small roasted chicken in the pot - so it doesn't need to be huuuuuge. Just big enough to house the leavings/veggies and a quart or two of water, yeah?
If you follow the link in the post to the Weston A. Crazypeeps - you can read a little about the nutritional value of good stock/broth. Mmmm.
