Red is such a finicky color! I think it is most easily likened to wine, wherein each wine has it's own little idiosyncracies and only works perfectly with that specific meal or time. Red is like that with places, and lighting. You mentioned the lighting at the restaurant, so perhaps that has something to do with it?
I find it interesting that you and Ian believe it is good to have time apart, so to speak. Time with friends without the other. Marne and I fall into that as well, although I doubt we've ever spoken of it. I don't like planning things without her, but many times we do end up separated for one reason or another, and we are both fine with that. She is at her Knit and Spin tonight, for instance, and although I know all of the people there and would be welcome, I am happy for her to have that time.

Funny you should say that Ursa is hot - which she most certainly is - I got together with her last night, and actually talked to her a lot about your family and your homestead. Ursa grew up on a farm like your family's -- not commercial on a large scale, but participating in farmer's markets, craft fairs, that kind of thing. She loved it, and its her goal to get back to that lifestyle for herself. Ian and I told her all about your family's land, and your beekeeping, and blacksmithing, and whatnot, and she was both envious and interested. So I guess you should say that she also thinks your hot, too -- although in a different way
