Stop reading this and go see "Inception" instead.

Life in Colorado continues to be awesome. I made my first trip downtown today for a job interview. Although I'd been to downtown Denver once before on business in 2003, today I looked at the city with new eyes. Its architecture, neatness, and even the traffic pleased me! (Of course I'm cognizant that I'm currently predisposed to like everything ( Read more... )

I've been a Twilight fan. Well, in that I read Books 1-3, and the very beginning of 4 until it offended by sensibilities and I slammed it shut ne'er to reopen, and I've enjoyed the movies. That sort of "fan."

Don't hate!

Haters gonna hate, baby. Haters gonna hate.

I think I knew that. I just blocked it from my mind. My sensibilities were offended in book one. :)

Oh blah blah blah blah Ginger. I get enough of this from Ian going off the deep end about how vampires don't sparkle. Meanwhile, I'll just sit back and enjoy it for all its campy guilty pleasure (and shirtless underage werewolves).

I saw Inception over the weekend, and have been tellin' folks the same thing - well worth checkin' out at the theater.

I even PAID to see it!

"Memento" instantly made my top 5 list when it came out.
I really enjoyed "Insomnia" (but not to the same degree).
"The Prestige" cemented Nolan's status as my favorite director.
Both Batman films were fantastic.
Now "Inception" takes me back to the way I loved "Memento"

I also saw "Following" but had a tough time getting through it... being his first film.

I am impressed that you've seen "Following." I have not seen it. From the description, it sounds like he took the best of his ideas there, and put them into "Memento" later ( ... )

I saw Inception in plain 2D, anamorphic 35mm.
There is no 3D Inception, of which I am aware.. Nolan is one of the few directors standing up against it, generally.

He loves the IMAX 70mm though... and so, I would bet that the IMAX version looks pretty hot.

I feel like too much of a Nolan fan boy now that 3 of his movies might occupy slots on my Top 5.

Oh good, that's a relief! Now I don't feel like I'm missing anything by choosing not to go for 3D. ;)

Ooh, I wasn't paying enough attention to realize this was Nolan -- LOVE HIM. Including "Following" (his B&W student film, primarily acted and staffed by his family). It still sticks in my head about everyone somewhere having some sort of box for their special stuff, etc. Hopefully will be able to fit a viewing in here around all the other happy stuff going on.

Curious, did you mean to say the still totally interesting Bella, or still totally UNinteresting Bella? Books-not-movies consumed on this front.

No doubt I meant to write "still uninteresting," since I don't think even the most die hard Twilight fans (which would not describe me in the first place) could possibly suggest that she's "interesting" with a straight face.

(Now with more comprehensible typing...)

Okay, that makes more sense -- tho what'd I know? Maybe Kristen carried it on charisma!

I love the bit that refers to her as Pants.
