I've told my mom that I hate her, and have made her cry.
I should have posted this anonymously because I'm pretty ashamed about this.

In school when I was going through the goth stage someone told the school that I was going to kill myself (I never would have, I was just into the whole 'woe is me, death is fascinating' thing) & the school called my dad. I came home to my dad in total hysterics. I know it wasn't my fault & I'll never forgive the school for what they did. But still, I blame myself for being the dumb goth kid.

Apparently I told my mum that I hated her. I don't remember this but she is insistent I did. If I did I was probably drunk & we were probably arguing over me being drunk & going out with friends.

You know, I was really, REALLY shy in high school and never talked to anyone. One day the guidance counselor called me into his office to tell me that a bunch of my teachers thought I was on DRUGS and he wanted to know if I was on DRUGS because I never talked in class. I said, "I thought that was the point of class." He didn't have a smart answer to THAT. But man, my parents were pissed off that they'd decided to attempt an intervention and never contacted them with their concerns

I had a similar thing, but with alcohol. I still to this day don't know how they even thought it, but I got called into the counselors office & he said he was concerned for me & asked if I had a drinking problem. I proceeded to tell him that I'd only ever had a mouth full of alcohol that my older cousin gave me a taste of. He then questioned me for 20 minutes to get "the truth" out of me. Idiot.

The same counselor also made me sign a document stating that I'd "never purposefully or accidentally hurt myself" after I actually was honest with him a year later & told him I'd been feeling a bit depressed because my dog died when I got called to see him.

Yeah, school counselors are fucking idiots. Sounds like it's the same in the US too.

One time, I drove off with my purse on top of the car. I didn't realize it until I got to my son's preschool. I then proceeded to race back home, looking for it on the side of the road, and yelling, "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!"

lol. It traumatized him :(
