I am too, kids seem to love me, cause I'm willing to play games with them when their older siblings wont, but I heard some not-so-happy stories from my friend who works at a daycare in her university

has anyone ever stood up a guy (or girl)? if so, what became of it? did you end up talking again? did you apologize? why did you do it?

Not quite, but I called her the day of and said "I'm not going to be able to go". it was awkward but she was cool about it.
Though I had to do it because I had went on a date with another girl that I really liked, and that girl and I became bfgf, annnnd
one time I went to a party with that gf and while she was in the bathroom I ran into the other girl and it was awkward for sure. but livable.
