I kind of feel the same. All my friends (even the meet up for lunch type friends) are hundreds of miles away and the only person I have here at school is really my SO.

here's to us making friends... just try to slowly become better friends with those not-as-close friends!!

One of my really good friend has a friend that I don't like, and this person is trying to weasel her way in between us because she's jealous and I want to punch her in the nose.

Well it's not. Kim is creeping up on my Shannan time, and I am not happy about it.

Would it be really awkward of me to ask this guy at work to lunch and/or drinks (with absolutely no intention of trying to date him) even though I know he has a girlfriend now? I'm not sure what the social etiquette is here...should I ask him to bring his gf along? Maybe I'd like her and we could all hang out but idk awkward

Lunch or drinks, and definitely extend the invitation to his gf.

hmmm I would just make it an invitation to something specific rather than just a generic "wanna do something sometime" - like it doesn't have to be anything majorly specific, but just along the lines of "hey I'm going to such-and-such-a-place with some friends tonight, do you want to come?" or "I really want to whatever but nobody wants to go with me, do you want to go?"
