I suspended my project because I attended three birthdays, including my own, in four days and there was obviously no point straightening up and flying right, then eating and drinking a shitload, and pretending the interrugnum was scientifically feasible

When "on a program," it's always disappointing to learn that one's gratuitous alcohol consumption has resulted in nothing more than a bad habit, the cessation of which provides no irresistible cravings nor the first sign whatever of delirium tremens. What do you have to DO to become an alcoholic FFS?

Undoubtedly there's a medical definition for alcoholism; I don't know if I qualify; but it's true, while I would like a drink I'm not hanging out thinking about it, and it's probably been a long time that I've gone seven days without one...
