She tilted her head at the young man. She was certain she'd never seen him before. But he was nonetheless greeted with a courteous smile. "Sure. Do you need help?" He didn't look like he was in any urgent trouble, but it was best to make sure.

“I certainly do need help! My feet are killing me, I've been walking all around this tower and I'm not as fit as I thought I was. You don't think I could come in and sit down, do you?”

She turned to look over her shoulder back into the room. It had been empty when she got up to answer the door and there were few plausible ways that her roommates could have entered since then. She didn't want to assume, though. When her survey showed that the room was indeed still empty, Aqua turned back to the blond man with a smile.
"You can," invited the mage, opening the door a little wider and stepping aside so he could enter. She indicated the neatly-made bed with a spellbook still resting open atop the covers. "That bed is mine. You can sit there."

He beamed at her, grasping her hands as he moved past into the room, as though she had cured him of a terminal disease instead of just given him a place to sit down for a moment.
"Might I know my saviour's name?"
Reply
"My name is Aqua," answered the young master. "I'm glad to help."
Truthfully, if his feet were hurting that badly, a Cure spell would probably help him. She would wait to see the extent of the pain, though.

Flopping to sit on the nearest bed, he rested his elbows on his knees and looked back at her with a relieved smile.
"Thank you, Aqua. I haven't seen you around before, have you been here long?"

Thanks to her time spent in the realm of darkness and the focus it took to keep track of time there, Aqua hadn't found it too difficult to measure the span of her life in the tower. So, after a bit of thought, she answered, "Around three months now."
Maybe it was sort of a long time to be stuck here, but it was nothing compared to upwards of ten years. "I haven't socialized much," she confessed. "So I'm not surprised that you haven't seen me."
Reply
"We'll have to change that then, Miss Aqua. A lovely young woman like yourself should be surrounded by friends."
Reply
"Can I ask your name?" She probably should have asked him that earlier (manners, she chided herself), but it had sort of slipped from the forefront of her mind in the sudden excitement.
Reply
"Of course! I'm Cain Knightlord, miss, the pleasure is all mine."
Reply
"It's nice to meet you," she returned. "Was there something else you needed?" If he'd been walking around a lot, it had probably been with a purpose.

He leans forwards a little, eager smile at his lips as he hopes she'll agree to help him with his research.
Reply
"Go ahead," Aqua replied. "I don't mind." It had been a long time, but she'd never forget the place where she grew up.

Most people liked to talk about their homes, it made them feel safer and more secure. It was a source of comfort, and would likely come with titbits about family and friends. It was a good platform to begin with, more detailed questions could come later.

It was insane, like a fantasy tale... magic and castles, spellbooks and floating forests... he could barely believe what he was hearing.
His eyes tilted downwards to look at the diagram that she passed to him to see, memorising the layout and the words written on the page. Before handing it back to her with a warm smile.
"Nonsense, it was lovely to hear, don't apologise."
