I saw "To Halve and to Hold" the other day for the first time in a long time and it made me realize how much I liked the Gil/Catherine friendship of S1. This popped out. It's not slash, but it's not het or gen, either. Ach. You decide.

Oh, I liked this a lot -- each of them felt very real. I liked how they're wistful, but not fragile, or maybe damaged but not broken fits better. Anyway, lovely piece!

Sent this way by knightmusic and so glad I was! this was one of those fics that just works-- I can see this scene happening, just this way, and it makes my chest ache in the loveliest way. It's not often that I think about what good friends these two are, but this just really drives it home. WONDERFUL job!! (And I'm still giggling over the face I can SEE Grissom making when cath talks about his dick. Priceless!)

Wonderful story. Love the image of them in bed relaxed and still friends. Love Catherine's thoughts about him and the conversation about his dick. Ha! The end was great and all about showing them still being friends. Loved the cheesecake thoughts they both had.

Gil is so guarded and so prickly (pun not intended, lol) now. Season 1 shows he wasn't always like that. And Catherine wouldn't be human if she hadn't at least tried to get him into bed. Or am I confusing her with me? Hmm...
