Yet the damage from Ondoy and Pepeng still remains, and in the coming year the typhoons will return, as they always do. As Filipinos, as writers, as Spec Fic lovers, we want to do our part to help those who are still

Actually you can say that this covers not just Ondoy and Pepeng anymore, but also those fires and that massacre and those deaths this year and the fears for the coming elections...in general dealing with tragedy. So it's still totally relevant. ^^v

Hi EK! Well I don't think Red Cross will have much to do with the election (or else that means we're royally screwed) but the points I really wanted to emphasize were that (a) it was the devastation of Ondoy and Pepeng that gave birth to the antho (b) we shouldn't forget, even with all our new problems, that the victims of the storms still need help and that there will be new storms every year. The reason though that we're giving to the Red Cross is that we do want the money raised to be used beyond just this year's typhoon relief. Like it or not after all, the storms seem to be getting worse...
