Time works differently on Patchwork Earth. So it's hard to tell how long it had been Scott had last seen Cookie... but a great deal had happened. He thumped three times on her apartment door, heard a soft mew from Trinket--so at least she still lived here, that was a good sign--and a bout of dizziness nearly toppled him. He slumped against the door frame and waited to see if she was home.

((Hey, looking for another game to occupy yourself? 'Cause I'm running a small private one over at welloflostplots and it'd be kinda cool to get you in playing as someone. Particularly if you're still occasionally tooling around with PPC stuff.))

She came out of the kitchen and opened the door, surprised, relieved, happy --and a dozen other emotions-- to see Scott. "Hey."

For just a moment, it looked like he might cry at the sight of her. But angst never lasted long around Scott. "Hey." He wavered a bit. There was a tiny crescent moon of a scar by his left eye. Most anyone else wouldn't even notice it, but of course they knew each other's bodies quite well... "I missed you."

((Creating comms is just plain asking for trouble, I know that quite well. :) Have a Kingdom Hearts game dead in the water right now at heartkingdom. But it'd be great to have you aboard Well. Cookie herself looked a lot more tired these days. Not so big on physical scars, but the mental ones had unfortunately taken their toll. She lifted her hand towards the little scar, then gave up and enveloped him in a hug. "You have no idea."
