I really shouldn't be surprised when someone who claims to be above "doctrinaire ideology" gets important information wrong about various ideologies.
Willful ignorance is still ignorance, after all, and knee-jerk "anti-ideological" thinking tends to manifest as willful ignorance of some school of thought or another. -

I sent Canon Fodder off to Tor again; it's been two years, and I'm ready to give it another go.
For several months now, I've been working on the sequel, Underground Movements, and I'd been building up to having one of the main characters come out of the closet.
I wrote that scene on the train, coming up to Delaware for the weekend.
