I love this verse so much! And fic felt like it had some closure! Which I both love and hate, because on one hand Kurt was just so tired and drained in this story, and I felt like he needs a rest, but on the other hand I don't this story to end ever!
I love how Artie and Puck have kinda become his psuedo-support system, (psuedo because Kurt would never admite to needing help) and the scene in the icecream shop was just sweet and fluffy enough to distract momentarially distract from what was going on! And I love this verse and you! Please don't say this is the end of the "He remembered" story line! :D *hugs&kisses*
This verse is going to be one of those random things I go back to I think. Yeah, this one did have more closure, but unfortunately, things like this never really completely resolve.
Yeah, Artie and Puck as the support system seems to work best in my opinion.
As much as it makes me sound like a douche, in this one particular completely fictional instance I am glad that these "things" never really get resolved.
I meant to mention in my previous comment about how you writing this fic kept me alive as you were so worried about cardiac failure in your author's note, but I assumed you would take my typing as proof enough that my heart still beats. Sometimes. :D
I love the idea that this verse will just pop up sometimes. All like "Surprise! Remember me!". *hugs&kisses*
It's ok to sound like a douche from time to time. I posted a prompt that made me feel like a douche of Karofsky proportions.
You'll take what you can get, and you'll like it! No I'm kidding, I shall try and keep you supplied in Kurt angst, even if it is not for this particular verse.
Poor Kurt, the thing is, Burt is an awesome dad. He really is, but he's still human, and humans have these pesky little flaws. It's what makes them human! Burt wouldn't be an exception to that.
Thank you so much, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I've always thought there was a more in-depth reason to why Kurt was SO scared about coming out to his dad, and decided in my head that there must have been some angsty backstory relating to his mum's death, similiar to what you have written.
I love you for making my own personal fannon in these scarily mind-reading fics!
Love all your stuff, btw. Have spent most of today in bed sick reading and you have some beautifully angsty storys to cheer me up.
(I should claify, my favourite type of comfort reading is angst. Huh, even as I write that, it sounds odd.
It's almost scary how well this would fit on the show. The strong yet fragile relationship between Kurt and Burt is just so real here. It makes you root for both of them.
Yes, Kurt and Burt's relationship is strained, they obviously care for each other, but they are very different people. Burt's human, he's bound to screw up from time to time.
Thanks so much and I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

And it works so well with the canon, as well... it would explain so well why Kurt was afraid to come out to him...

Burt is bound to have flaws, this is just a most extreme case scenario of one of these flaws.
