This is so painful to read. I can't - I can't even. When Rachel called, I just lost it. You included every single member and wrote them each so well.

Oh well thank you! I tried, but Matt's head is rather hard getting into. I couldn't seem to try and write any of them not talking to him, or not being found in time. Sometimes people hang on long enough for everyone to say goodbye, I guess that's what I was getting at.

I don't think I'm coherent enough to leave a proper comment, but here it is anyway...

This has got to be one of the saddest fics I've ever read. I think it's because we see Kurt fighting 'til the end and it's a slow, albeit painful death (most death fics I've come across are abrupt), but this...having the other glee kids see his rapid decline, I think that's worse.

And Burt...i feel for the guy. No parent should ever outlive their child, and the fact that this is what happened to his wife as well, it just doubles everything.

But...gosh, at least he got to say goodbye to everybody.

Yeah, It was kinda based off a friend of mine, she was very much like Kurt was in this fic at the end.

I know, poor Burt, first his wife, then his son, and to the same disease. How terrible!

Yes, he did get to say goodbye. That was important to me, so I made sure he got too. Held on long enough to talk to Rachel.

Tears running down my face and pooling in my bra... I'm glad Rachel called, that Burt, Carole, and Finn were there when Kurt died, and I LOVE the idea of Kurt being a lawyer.

Yeah, Rachel called, and Burt, Carole, and Finn were there (if asleep) so he wasn't alone.

I kinda like the idea of Lawyer Kurt too, I may have to work that into another story somehow...
