I figured, well they would be friends. They are always part of that group, and during the Gaga episode, they were together a lot. And I think those two could be really good friends.

A Tina-Kurt friendship fic? I feel like I just spotted a unicorn--it's that rare and beautiful.
I think you're absolutely right about the qualities that would make their friendship unique and would make it work: Tina isn't sassy and protective and possessive like Mercedes, and she doesn't try to smooth things over like Kurt. Her great gift to Kurt would be her willingness to LISTEN. And in turn, he might open up, REALLY open up to her.
I think it's telling that you simply called this story "Tired." How much wariness and exhaustion (and defeat?) can be conveyed by that one little word?

Ah, the Tina-Kurt friendship seems like it would work. I know she's normally hanging around Mercedes and Artie, and Kurt sort of seems to be her friend by default, but I do think the two have personality traits that would make them friends.

This is beautiful, because it's true. Most of the time you just need someone who cares to listen. I love the interaction between your Kurt and Tina, and your characterization of Mercedes and Artie because they ring true to what we've seen in the show. Oh! And your referencing to Kurt being Tina's knight in Gucci armor is love.
This fic is so sad- but not in a bad way at all. Your portrayal's of Kurt and Tina are spot on and the dialogue feels reel and unforced. Sitting by himself in the auditorium is something that I feel like Kurt would do- that is his space and somewhere where he feels safe. He went there to sing Rose's Turn after the whole Laryngitis affair so it feels right that he would go there whenever he felt sad or hurt.
