Oh yes. There are so many facts to support this idea. I just need ooooone more pice to the puzzle, then I'm compiling all my information and posting that business! :D
I'm pretty sure the part about Jack dying after he was injured fighting Glen was simply the story that they told the public. Can't have everyone know that some evil menace has been dismembered and deposited in various sites around the world. If this is the case, then he simply wrote that diary entry before he sealed Glen. But now I want to know when the sealing took place. And why Jack wasn't plunged into the Abyss with the rest of the city.
Jack mentioned the power of B-Rabbit? Woah. Could you tell me what chapter that is?
Haha, sometimes I feel a little crazy, thinking up all these things. Somewhere near 1/4 of each discussion usually proves to be irrelevant XD No problem though. It is the best series in the world, after all ;D
Jack mentions the power of B-Rabbit in the chapter where the gang meets Marie and Riitasu. The latter says that Jack told him that none could approach that sealing stone but the one with the power of B-Rabbit. Or something like that.
According to Rytas chapter, Jack died several weeks after Sablier due to chest wound that was too deep / didn't want to heal. So apparently he offered his body and life while he still had it to seal Glen's soul via dividing himself into five pieces, carried out by Arthur Barma the creep. Uh.
There's one interesting bit of info regarding B-Rabbit... When Oz is talking to Gil about his seal, he says he spoke with Break about it. Illegal contractors' seals become visible when they use chain's power, but Break's and Oz's are always visible. Break said this is because Mad Hatter is his second chain. Oz is musing that his contract is also "the second time". It kinda implies to me that Jack was a contractor himself, maybe the first contractor of B-Rabbit, since Oz is highly unlikely to have had a contract before B-Rabbit. Funnily enough Jack is said to have died from chest wound. Contractor's seal is also located on the chest.
I'm really sad that Elliot is gone *cries* TT___TT He is one of my favorite characters after all (same reason why you like him). But I'm kind of satisfied with the death that he received. At least, until the end, he remained the same awesome Elliot that we know
( ... )
There are a lot of things that point to Oz being alive 100 years ago. I would list them, but many of them have already been deposited all over this discussion, I'm lazy, and I'm saving the extent of my thoughts for when I have everything together XD
Though I'm not sure what the direct result of stabbing himself was.
I think it was a way of bringing himself back out of the sleeping/unaware state. Causing pain to himself, made him focus on what it was he had to do.
I'm thinking this isn't the last we've seen of Elliot. I HOPE SO!!! But I think his relationship with Leo was glossed over, if that's the be all and end all, I'd have liked to have seen some kind of reaction from Leo apart from getting himself knocked out. Unless we just get the after reaction... I hope not. I have no idea how though, but I doubt Oz and Leo would just let him disappear like that.
I'm thinking Elliot stabbing himself was to bring himself out of his mind and into the present, basically to wake himself from Humpty Dumpty's influence/trance.
Also, when he became aware of Echo and Gil, perhaps he was seeing through HD's eyes? I guess another assurance that he was the core, plus it provided him a way to figure out what was going on with the two of them fighting off HD.
I'm really heartbroken about his death, but... at the same time, i'm satisfied with it. He was very brave and true to himself until the end. I think coming back later in the story will taint that fact, so neither do I think he'll come back, nor do I want him to.
I half expect Oz to turn out to be his uncle's son. :x so I don't think he's from the 100 years ago, but it's very possible, haha. :'D
My "conspiracy theory" is that there isn't just one version of the past, but that's probably just my crazy idea. XD That would be hardcore! Not impossible, it would explain why some people's memories don't exactly follow the official theory. People whisked from the past retain the memories of what originally happened, while the official explanation follows the changed version. I really like it XD
That's really interesting. It's like Break's case. He was able to change the past but he still retained his memories of the real past. If I remember correctly. Too lazy to reread again
