Dude, I hear you. I used to love fishing and did it all the time, and then one day I went and suddenly had that crashing moment of understanding of just how much death it all involved. :/ Kudos to you for holding to your principles, though - I quite agree with the idea that if we're going to end an animal's life in a recreational context, we can at least have the decency to eat it and give its death some use.

I ate one forkfull of it and decided I don't like trout. :D Someone else in the house will eat it though.

I still feel bad for the worms though. They way they squirm when you stick them on the hook.... :( :( :(
