Oh cool. I didn't realize it was vacation (or at least a week away) that you'll be heading off to after. Ya, you'll find lots of DC things to do.
Details-wise - I can probably just meet you at the venue. The earliest train gets in just after 9, and we might as well be there from the start since it just got more crowded as the day went on the last time.
Yup, gotta have the bags packed and ready to go before Saturday.
I could could meet you at the train station no problem. The bus I'm taking only runs once an hour on Saturdays so getting to the venue before 10 means getting there really early, and with plenty to time to hop off the subway at the train station. Waiting in line alone would be no fun anyway.
OK, that's cool too, if you're sure. The train gets in at 9:09.
Hey, I wanted to ask you something unrelated. You grew sunflowers, right? I have one in a pot, and it's about 12 inches high and starting to lean over. Did you tie them to a stake at all? I hope it'll grow a meatier stem soon.
I didn't use stakes. My sunflowers got about 2 feet tall but the stems were pretty thick and the flowers weren't nearly big enough to weigh down the tops. There's so many varieties of sunflowers though (and the seeds for mine were gift, I have no idea what specific kind they were) so if it's drooping go ahead and stake it. I meant to try grow some bigger sunflowers this year but it slipped my mind. Maybe I'll try planting some late.
