Oliver was tired. And maybe that's why he headed out to Torrent. Not to mention that he'd been holed up in his flat for days on end, and it really was time to get out and maybe get some caffeine. But it was also open mic night, and at least he could go and listen to the music. Of course, he knew Bella would be playing, but thankfully that meant she wouldn't be talking. He much preferred her singing to her conversation. Still, he showed up with his coffee in hand, leaned back in the chair with one foot propped up in front of him and watching the stage. Maybe they didn't get along very well, but there was no denying that Bella was talented
( ... )
Bella did notice that Oliver had entered the cafe and was there while she sang her song. She really did love this song and she put even more passion into it. Her set was over much too quickly and she gave a small wave to crowd as she turned off the mic and then went to go put her guitar away. She ran a hand through her hair as she set the guitar case off the side and then headed over to get a bottle of water.
Oliver had been tearing his unused napkin up into little paper balls, staring at the table after the clapping died down. He glanced up at Bella, who was putting her guitar case away and then standing to get a bottle of water, and he positioned one of the paper balls between his fingers, flicking it so that it bounced off her cheek.
Bella felt the piece of paper hit her cheek and then looked over to notice that it was Oliver, of course it was. She frowned slightly and rolled her eyes, "Nice to see that you haven't grown up, going to start sleeping with kids soon, Michael Jackson?"
After a long day of fishmongering for the hoards of people at the Pike Place Fish Market, Ethan just wanted to unwind. Unwinding for him usually meant a cold beer, but he would settle for a cup of coffee or a muffin or something. Going back to his dark apartment was not appealing.
He strolled into Torrent, noticing it was open mic night. He took a seat, and took a look around, trying to get a feel for the place.
Anne entered Torrent when Bella was on the stage singing. She was a little late because she had gotten busy with her MBA, but she went there to see her friend anyway. Ordering herself some water, she sat down as near the stage as she could.
Bella noticed Anne and smiled as she waved to the girl and then went over to talk to her, "Hey! You made it and I was playing, so we both win in this case."
"Yes." Anne smiled adorably. She liked talking to Bella. "I guess we're even. Are you going back to the stage or I can buy you a glass of wine or something?" The brunette sipped her water. "It's very good to see you."
"No I'm done for the night," Bella smiled and gave a little shrug. She was sure that the last thing she needed was more wine, "Actually, coffee would be great. And I'm so glad you made it." She stepped forward to give her friend a hug.
As usual, Charlotte's head was not at Torrent, even though physically she was. She was waiting to be fired, but for some reason, the owner just hadn't yet. That was okay with her, she wasn't cut out to be a waitress, and her tips reflected that.
Finally feeling 100% better, Drew made his way to Torrent. He really wanted that coffee drink the friendly waitress had got him hooked on. He missed it the most while he was ill.

"Nice set, Black," he said with a curt nod.
