Anne entered Torrent when Bella was on the stage singing. She was a little late because she had gotten busy with her MBA, but she went there to see her friend anyway. Ordering herself some water, she sat down as near the stage as she could.
Bella noticed Anne and smiled as she waved to the girl and then went over to talk to her, "Hey! You made it and I was playing, so we both win in this case."
"Yes." Anne smiled adorably. She liked talking to Bella. "I guess we're even. Are you going back to the stage or I can buy you a glass of wine or something?" The brunette sipped her water. "It's very good to see you."
"No I'm done for the night," Bella smiled and gave a little shrug. She was sure that the last thing she needed was more wine, "Actually, coffee would be great. And I'm so glad you made it." She stepped forward to give her friend a hug.
Anne hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead. "Yeah. I almost didn't, though. The MBA's finally getting to me." She ordered a black coffee for the redhead. "You drink it black, right?" The brunette asked, pulling a chair to Bella to sit.
The kiss made Bella blush from head to toe, why did Anne always do this to her? She couldn't help but smile when Anne ordered her coffee just the way she liked it, "Yes, black. You're amazing. And I am really glad you made it, MBA be damned!"
Anne grinned widely when Bella sat. "I'm not. I just happen to have a very good memory." She blinked at the other girl playfully and sat down herself. "You're much more fun than Statistical Applications and Quantitative Methods."
"Oh dear god, I really hope I am more fun than that," Bella made a face before taking a sip of her coffee, "Ugh, just the name of that makes me want to die."
"How about Introductory Business Statistics?" Anne laughed freely. "But it's nice. It makes me feel more prepared to take the gallery. After all, you don't have to just deal with artists or openings." She explained and drank her water. "Can I get you something to eat?"
"That still sounds gross. Maybe this is why I didn't go to college, none of these classes sound like any fun. But as long as you're excited to go take over the gallery then I guess it's worth it," Bella shook her head at the offer of food, "No thank you, not yet. You're sweet."
"It is, a bit." Anne leaned on the table. "Don't tell anyone, but I'm a little nerdy." She bit her lower lip, smiling, and laughed. "You wouldn't imagine."
"No? Really?" Anne asked, sipping her water and leaning against the chair. "Not even a cupcake? Or a cookie? They go great with coffee."
"Well, it's quite okay to be nerdy. I spend most of my free time holed up in my apartment working on music," Bella offered with a smile, "And fine, a cupcake. You're too persistent for me." Bella gave her a smile and a wink.
"When both of your parents have already reached doctor's degree when you not even 18 yet, it's a sign that you'll probably also a nerd." Anne stated. "You should let me listen to it someday."
Smiling, she ordered a chocolate cupcake. "Yeah, it comes with the package."
"I offered to let you come over and you kept whining at me that you'd be bothering me," Bella countered with a raised eyebrow as she sipped from her coffee, "Well the package needs to stop buttering me up with coffee and cupcakes."
"You said I could come over if I felt lonely. And that'd be bothering. But once in a lifetime showing up there wouldn't be." Anne explained, sipping her water.
"But the package likes buttering you." She smiled and thanked the waiter when he brought Bella her cupcake. "And you like when the package does it. That's what I do, I spoil my friends."

"I do like getting a cupcake," Bella admitted with a smile as she started to pick at the cupcake, "But you don't need to spoil me."
