Vampires of Venice Very Vonderful

Sorry, I ran out of V words.

That was a great episode. Toby Whithouse demonstrated why he deserves his own show (ie Being Human) with a fun, entertaining story that also developed characters.

The episode was visually stunning, wasn't it?

I loved it too. I know Rory is getting a lot of love from the fans today. It'll be interesting to see how he gets along with Eleven going forward since he's lived in the Doctor's shadow for pretty much his entire life.

Re: Smith - I still think they would've done better to go with an older actor with a stronger presence, but despite this I am warming to Smith. Even if he's not fabulous, he's pretty good, and if the storylines are good enough, I'll stay engaged with the character and the show.

He is pretty good. I don't think that for me he'll take over Tennant in my heart in the way Tennant took over Eccleston (which was, pretty much, from the moment he opened up the TARDIS on the Sycorax ship) but I'm happy that he's doing an interesting job with the character.

He was unexpected, I think from "The Eleventh Hour" I'd expected someone a bit ... wetter, perhaps. I'm glad he's not wet though!
