Sorry, I ran out of V words.
That was a great episode. Toby Whithouse demonstrated why he deserves his own show (ie Being Human) with a fun, entertaining story that also developed characters.
So does Rory count as a companion now? He must do, surely? I liked the complicated triangle developing between the Doctor, Amy and Rory - Rory's promising, I can see why Amy might like him. He's got some guts, standing up to the Doctor and Francesco (with a broomstick, classic).
Loved the alien take on vampires and the hints about the broader cracks/Silence thread. I thought Matt Smith played this episode very well; I do like the fact that Eleven is very much, in many ways, still the Time Lord Victorious of "Waters of Mars". At times he's got exactly that arrogance and certainty that Ten has at the end of that episode - this is a Doctor who's decided that from now on, he's damned well going to do as he will and get the result he wants. It'll mean some hard choices, but he's used to those now and he'll take them when necessary.
Also, the series looks beautiful and the supporting cast this series has been excellent. Looking forward to next week.
