LOL! Glad you liked the card! I almost laughed myself silly when I came up with it. Hee!

And yay on uni!! And a BA can be as useful or useless as you want it to be. My BA in cultural studies is completely useless. Should've gone with psychology instead, so now I'm going back to do a GradDip in psych and see where it goes from there. *shrug*

I love uni.

*geek*

ETA: Oh yeah, wrong LJ name there. No idea who the other person is, but am in THE bottle, not just 'a' bottle. ;)

I think the course sounds like a great idea!

I've worked as a journalist and loved it, but there are a few issues with it now -- one is the internet, which has really cut down on subscriptions to papers and has led to massive staff cuts. They haven't really figured out how to make money off the internet without charging people to read, and there are too many news sources to make people want to pay to read your paper online.

But, you do have a public broadcaster and they have all sorts of programs to look into. Check these out? http://www.abc.net.au/careers/cadetshipsandworkexperience/

I'm now at the stage where I want to do something in politics but not sure if it will be journalism. So I'm hoping the course will help me see what else is out there.

Definitely go for a BA, if it lets you study what you're interested in. :)
